I'll reader's digest things, but Thursday I felt horrible. Was achy and crampy all day and the cramps in my lower abdomen got worse and worse as the day went on. Checked my blood pressure and it was up.
Called the OB and he sent me to L&D.
Had a bunch of tests, the baby is fine, but I have an infection. The doctor told me that had I not come in, the infection could have triggered PTL or PPROM.
So, if you have any hesitation about whether to call the doc- CALL!
Re: Valuable lesson learned, esp for pregnant after Preemie moms
True story! I've been to L&D 3 times in this pregnancy with cramps...cramps was all I ever felt with DD when I went into labor, so they freak me out! The first time, they found nothing. Second time, dehydrated and the third, I had an infection, both of which can cause contractions and PTL. So happy I went in, even though I was hesitant.
Glad you and LO are doing well!

What I had was bacterial vaginosis, I had absolutely no symptoms until the cramping. (I mean, I felt exhausted, my bach ached, and I felt drained, but I chalked that up to running around after my dd & being pregnant!),
They gave me flagyl, which I assume is a sort of antibiotic. It tastes DISGUSTING (even in the short time it takes to swallow a swig of water) but hopefully this gets knocked out!
Now I'm wondering if perhaps this wasn't the reason I PPROM-ed with my daughter... ???
