What size to get for only woven wrap?

I'll probably order the Chimparoo since it is reasonably priced and local.  Should I get a short one or a regular size? My understanding is that you can't do all the carries with a sort one, but is a long one too much of a PITA for a beginner?  (I'm 5'6" and about 145 lbs at the moment.)

  • A size 6 would do you well. The first carry I learned was the front cross carry with a longer wrap and I still think it's the easiest carry.

  • Their sizes are not standard.  :(

That would be 4.6, right? Their wraps come in 2.5, 3.6, 4.5 or 5.2.  Would 4.5 be pretty much the same as 4.6 or would I be missing a few inches all the time? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

  • It's not dumb, the sizing really threw me off at first too. A 6 would be a 4.6m and a 4.5 well still be just fine, like you said just a couple inches off. You'll still be able to do all the standard carries. You tube has some great videos, that's how I learned. =)

  • Ok, thanks :)
  • I second the 4.5, definitely the way to go.  I always recommend longer wraps for beginners, because you can always cut it shorter if you find that's what you need.
