Snacks for Babysitter

Tonight is our first time leaving DS with a non-family babysitter.  I've been so focused on that, I just realized I should have snacks for babysitter, right?  Suggestions?  Thx!

I think it's nice, but not a necessity.  I had one family who used to bake me cookies.  I loved it, but thought it was over the top.  Do you have any snacks for you in the house?  I'd just tell them what it's OK to eat and that's that.  (I always felt weird about eating food unless they specifically told me that I could).

Unless your cupboards are completely empty, just tell her to help herself.  I wouldn't necessarily make a special trip to the store for food for the sitter.  Do you have something fun planned with DH/SO?!

just tell her to help herself to whatever she can find- that's what the families i babysat for always did.

and if they happened to make dinner for the girls before i got there- i'd just eat with them.

I usually have a frozen pizza, fruit salad, or something of "substance" available because she usually comes over around dinner time.  I also let her know she can help herself to any other food in the house (though she rarely does).

I always have some sort of healthy frozen food option for her to heat up for herself in the microwave since she is usually here around dinner time (and is feeding DS dinner which I have prepared). If your sitter is there around a meal time, I would have something specific she can eat since it is hard to navigate an unfamiliar kitchen and be looking after a kid at the same time.

When I used to babysit, I had a family leave a tray with some snacks on it, popcorn, granola bar and some fruit.

I appreciate it.

I would probably tell them to help themselvs and just hide anything I really didn't want them to eat.
