Random vents for the day

1. My shower is tomorrow, and the only things that have been purchased off the registries are either already in our posession (shipped by people who can't attend the shower), or were purchased by us.  And no one knows we're having a boy, so I'd be VERY surprised by a bunch of clothes.

2. Speaking of my shower - I've had 5+ friends/relatives who RSVPed yes email me in the last 2 days to tell me they can no longer make it.  Most of them have good reasons, but it's still frustrating.

3. At my monthly OB appointment on Weds, I saw the NP, who told me that if the specialist I've also been seeing is ONLY keeping me in her care to do growth scans & BPPs, then we can stop seeing her (an hour away) and just do the u/s at the OB office (15 min away).  When I called today to see about setting up appts, I was told they won't do a BPP or growth scan in office until 32w (specialist wants them done weekly starting now).  The nurse said she'd double check with my doctor or the NP and call me back - an hour ago.  If she doesn't call in the next 10 minutes, I won't be able to answer the phone since I'll be teaching for the rest of the day.

4. The cafeteria ladies here at the school usually make cookies for the teachers on Friday.  Last Friday, they were all gone by the time my lunch period rolled around, and I literally cried about not getting a cookie.  Today, they didn't make them. 

5. I have so much grading to do that, other than my shower, I won't be able to leave the house this weekend... and yet, I've officially wasted both of my planning periods playing on the bump (this one is totally my fault, I know!). 

6. LO still doesn't have a name, and DH doesn't want to talk about it - I think he's in denial that the baby will be here in 12-13 weeks, or doesn't realize just how soon that is.

7. Pregnancy brain has made me forget my other random vents.
