and regret most of the pictures they have of their little girl with that huge fug bow/flower in their hair?
Some of them are cute. Most of them are over done.
I have been looking at pictures from a local photographer and I would say 95% of the girls/moms all have some type of flower in their hair.
Re: How many moms are going to look back in 10yrs
One of the very few things I've said NEVER to is big a$$ bows on my dd's head and so far I've stuck to it!
My sisters have pictures of themselves as toddlers with these ugly kewpie/troll looking dolls with florescent hair stuck on their heads in their school pictures. We all like to look at them, laugh, and wonder WTF my mother was thinking. I suspect that big, overdone bows will be the same. ;-)
When DD was little I had a couple ppl ask why I didn't have bows in her hair. I don't do bows!
Most of the baby/infant pics w/the big dinnerplate flower heads annoy me because I keep staring at the flower instead of the baby. I'd rather see the baby, tyvm.
Ew. Really uncalled for.
fo realz.
as for the bows and looking back in 10 years - maybe in some areas, but big bows are a consistently popular look in the south - I would say even classic, along w/ monograms and smocked clothing. So if you live in certain areas, kids will still be wearing the same thing in 10 years.
If/when I pop out a girl, I will be putting her in the big headbands-- like brew, xti, eclairs, and lucyfox. Okay, those are the ones that I can think of that have adorable bow pictures.
