I'm trying to decide between the my breast friend and the balboa nursing pillows. I've heard that boppy is great for babies but not so great for nursing. TIA
for me the boppy was fabulous for nursing - I used it anywhere and everywhere! And DD used it for sitting, tummy time, and even sleeping. I loved my boppy.
And with the delivery trifecra of one twin vaginal, one c-section with general anesthesia for twin B, Spencer and Sidney joined us at 35 weeks exactly on June 18.
In my breastfeeding class they said that the "My Breast Friend" was the best on the market. The boppy is a pillow and is very soft so the baby can sink into the pillow making it uncomfortable for Mom, but the breast friend is firm making it easier to hold baby without sinking. Not to mention it has a back rest. I havn't used either of these products personally, this is just what I have been told by the lactation consultant at the hospital.

I agree with all of this.

LOVE the My Brest Friend. Nice firm support, and back support. And it actually stays on (DD has kicked the Boppy off my lap before when I picked her up to burp her). Plus, it fits comfortably around me, even adjusted down pretty small.
I can't stand the Boppy for breastfeeding. Too soft, and doesn't really fit around me comfortably. That said, we do use it every day to prop her on the couch with us, or for DH to give her a bottle.
