Ava has been PT for awhile, I'm wondering about Charlotte.
She's 17 months old and she wants to do everything Ava does, so starting at 16 months we started letting her sit just to appease her. Sometimes she just plays and sometimes she does actually go. A couple weeks after we started letting her sit, she started removing her clothes and diapers anytime she goes (even if it's just a little--she doesn't want it on anymore). Although I know plenty of people have done it, I'm a little hesitant to start the process with a not even 2 year old. We waited until after Ava was 2 so it's a whole different ballgame this time. Should I go about it the same way I did with Ava (which was naked potty training and then just putting her in underwear)? Or is she just way too young?
Also, I have heard that if you PT too early there is a high chance they will regress. Anyone who PT their kid earlier (before 2) care to weigh in on this? I don't think it really matters because we waited until after 2 with Ava and she still regressed (I think just because she had a stubborn phase and it was about everything, not just the potty).

Rylee potty trained at 21 months and Parker at 20 months. Both of them did the nkes training. Parker did it once at 18 months but then we went on vacation and it messed that up so we tried again at 19 months and it was a go. Rylee did wear diapers out and about until about 23 months but at home she was trained by 21 months.
Parker started the same way, pulling off his diaper as soon as he peed... then he went to pulling it off right BEFORE he peed and so he sort of forced me into potty training.
I personally think the earlier they learn the easier it is. All of my friends that waited until 2.5-3 have had toddler stubborness to deal with and it took months for the kids to train
I totally agree with this! Ava started showing signs of readiness as early as Charlotte, but everyone told me to wait because we were about to have a new baby, let her adjust to that change, blah blah blah. We waited and even though she PT quickly/easily with naked PT, she still regressed around 2.5 and was going through such a stubborn phase we just had to wait for her to decide to do it again (which she did and when she did, it was a very quick/easy process--proving that she can just be a stubborn little thing). I wish I would have just followed her lead at 18 months. I think it would have been something she had been doing long enough that she never would have regressed. Oh well.
