Low HcG levels

I am 25 and pregnant, my hcg count is around 276, does anyone know how pregnant this is, could it be 5 weeks or 2-3 weeks?  Does anyone know about this whole HcG goes?  Please help, I'm stressed about this.

Re: Low HcG levels

  • a home pregnancy test will pick up levels of hcg from 25-50 mcg.  The levels are supposed to double every couple of days.  With a level around there, it's probably 4-5 weeks, but I'm not an expert.

Weeks of pregnancy is measured from the first day of your last menstrual period, so you actually aren't pregnant for about the first 2 weeks...

  • This website has some helpful information.  I'm curious how you know what your hcg level is, did you have bloodwork done?  If so, your doctor should be able to give you some good information.  The previous poster is absolutely correct about what hpt's will pick up.

  • Everyone's HcG is so different you really can't go off of that alone. I am assuming since you know your # you have had bloodwork done. If you aren't sure about when you conceived I would ask your doctor to do a dating ultrasound in a few weeks. I will tell you from my experience my first HcG level was in the 600's and it was 19 days after I conceived, but like I said...everyone is VERY different on the beta #!

Thanks hun. I've taken a few tests all negative but still no AF and my dr recommended the blood test. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but I need to know one way or another.
