DS is really interested in places - he loves to travel (yeah at 3yo) and DHs family all lives out of the country. I do not link the kid toy globes that I have seen b/c they are not detailed enough, DS already knows the names of the continents so I feel that would be somewhat a waste. Would you do a wall map (like 3'x4') or a regular globe that is really for much older kids? Other suggestions welcome. Oh, this would be a present for when he is 4.

Re: Map or globe for 4yo
We got DS this one. He's a little young for it, but loves asking questions about it. It's the Traveler Globe on Amazon ($34)
Lol, to me North Dakota is still orange! From my puzzle map.
Does he have a Tag reader? I've recently seen they have maps that work with the Tag pens. I think there is a USA one and a world one, or maybe its USA on one side and world on the other. Looks neat and i guess the pen tells things about the places they touch.
