Think of me this weekend...

Some of you may remember me mentioning a wedding that I am going to- DH is in the wedding along with his ex gf that he dated for 5 years. The wedding is this Saturday, I'm still dreading it!

Sometimes I hate facebook newsfeed, the ex gf posted on every.single.mutual friend's wall about how excited she is to see them, can't wait to get on the dance floor, can't wait for all of the Toledo Alum to be together again, etc etc. Makes me feel even more uncomfortable!

I decided not to go to the ceremony (2pm) and just meet DH at the reception (6pm) so I will either be wandering around Canton, OH all day Saturday, or sitting in my hotel room.

Anyway, I will let you know how it goes and if there's any drama!

Kill her with kindness, Emily!  That's what I did (remember, I was in a similar situation...but it was my SIL's wedding).  Worked like a charm.  Friends close..."enemies" closer.

I know how you feel. My DH dated a girl for 5 years in high school and they broke up in 2002. In the summer of 2003, her and I just randomly ended up working at the same place (by then I had started dating DH). It was probably the most awkward thing ever - she would make the rudest comments about all these past memories between her and DH. I finally quit the place b/c I couldn't stand her craziness anymore. Fast forward to last year and DH, DS and I ran into her at the grocery. I just smiled, flaunted my cute family, and walked right by her. She knew I was the better woman - ha ha. Good luck at the wedding - it'll be over before you know it!
