I haven't checked in in a few days so I figured I would...
Things are going well here... I haven't had any contractions, cramping, or irritibility in 4 days, so the doctors are thrilled. I'm only on an oral medicine, which is surprising them because normally patients end up on a terbutaline pump. The doctors say if my cervical scan this weekend goes well, I can go home on pretty much strict bed rest (only allowed up to use the bathroom and shower). I'm very excited about the prospect of this, but I know if things don't go well, staying in here is in Ella's best interest. I obviously am not going to take any chances - I want this little one to be strong.
Being in here has given me a lot of time to reflect and be very thankful that she's been able to stay in an additional 2 weeks... that's a huge accomplishment for her (and me!). Only a week and a half more until she's at 28 weeks and I've hit the first goal that the NICU doctor set for me...
Thanks for letting me update you!

That's really good news! Bed rest is annoying, but it sounds like you're taking it in stride and it's helping!
Here's hoping for some more good news on the weekend!
Thanks, ladies! I'm really excited to possibly get out of here. Part of me even wants to stay until at least 28 weeks when I know her odds are a lot better. One of the nurses just showed me what a 28 week baby looks like and it's so tiny! But it's reassuring to know that her odds are a lot better at that point!
I'll keep you posted!
