A vent

Finding a part time job sucks!

I was an engineer, planned to always be an engineer.  Planned to work full time.  Planned that until it was about time to go back to work.  I actually did go back for 7 months, hated it!  Just couldn't stand being away from C that much.  And since I plan to have more kids, we're not just talking about 1-2 years.  So now I'm trying to find a permanent professional part time job.  I knew engineering was unlikely, but didn't realize just how slim the pickings would be...sigh.

Just another example of how kids mess up all our plans!  (though he's worth every bit of hassle)

  • I agree.  It sucks that there aren't more flexible/part-time professional opportunities out there for working moms.
