Bored? Help me pick an outfit.

DD has school pictures tomorrow. It's the one day out of the year I get to pick her outfit out. Pose will be from the waist up. Possible background colors are gray, blue, purple, green and amber if that makes any difference.

Red, white & gray striped shirt with gray velour jeans.

Brown dress

Grayish/green blazer, black shirt and dark denim jeans.

Although I'm sure she looks adorable in shirt #1, I'm not a huge fan of red or stripes.  I like the neck line of the dress; but I'm thinking it might read too plain Jane, since you won't see any of the detailing in the photo.  All that said, option #3 if my favorite.  Do you have/get to decide, beforehand, what background they use?

#2 Dress is adorable, but I wouldn't go with that since you wont see the detail on the bottom. #1 is an outfit I think of "everyday" wear. #3 is the outfit I would go with.

I like #3 as well.  And I just have to say that you are much more of a planner than I am.  I picked a shirt out of Ry's drawer the night before pictures and just paired it with some jeans in the morning.   I also have to add, that Miss A has some very cute clothes, one downfall of Ry wearing uniforms is that I sometimes forget she needs "street" clothes too!  Time to go shopping!

I am going to be a brat and go against the consensus and say #1 with a blue background but since most people are saying #3, you could do that with a gray background.

I think the boys' school and DD's school must use the same people because I knew exactly what colors you were talking about. Do you get to pick the pose too?

No worries.  I was totally thinking of you this weekend though, when I went to the mall with my mom and aunt to help my mom pick a dress for my brother's wedding.  My aunt kept asking "Where's Deb?" and I tried not being b*tchy... I ignored her like 5 times but then after she wrinkled her nose at the nice dress my mom tried on in Macy's and asked again where Deb was, I finally said "Deb is not where you go to find a nice dress!  It's not even age appropriate for me, let alone yourself or mom.  It's only appropriate for teenage girls looking for tube tops!"

This is tough. I like #3, but I think #1 is the most age appropriate and will look good in photos. I'm big on kids looking like kids and the blazer is a little more of a mature look. The dress is cute, but the cute part won't show up in the photo.

I'm a big fan of 2 and 3! Sometimes stripes can look a little off in photos. If I had to choose one I guess my fav would be 2.
