WW muffins...

I'm going to make these today while DD is napping.  I know a bunch of you girls have made these.....should I use muffin baking cups or just pour into the muffin pan?  Should I grease the muffin pan if I don't use the cups?  What works best??? TIA!

Re: WW muffins...

  • I use  the muffin paper liners for easy cleanup. You can use just the pan, but I would def grease it with shortening. I would also save some of the cake mix (before mixing) and dust the pan as well. You could also use flour, but the cake mix wont leave a white dusting on the outside of the muffins.

  • I cheat and use the muffin cups with the extra foil cover on the outside, so I don't use muffin tins at all.  Otherwise I'd probably just use the muffin cups inside the baking tin to make cleanup easier.
  • I haven't made those specific muffins yet, but in my experience, spraying the pan with Pam or another baking spray allows the muffins to come out more easily than muffin cups or nothing at all. Plus, sometimes the muffin sticks to muffin cups when you use them to make "low-fat" products. Hope this helps!

This is what we do too.  It works just fine.  I find that the paper tends to stick to these muffins IMO and I prefer to not lose some muffiny goodness to the trash can.  With the PAM mine haven't stuck before.
