Was your 2nd (or later) babies smaller than your first? DS was 8 lbs 3 oz, and I wasn't expecting that at all (was thinking more like 7 1/2 lbs) - so now I am worried about potential #2 since a lot of the times the 2nd, etc. kids are bigger - I guess b/c more stretchy stomach muscles so they can grow.
Re: Moms with 2 (or more)
I don't have 2, but I am the second child and I was smaller. My brother was almost 9 lbs and I was 8lb 2oz.
I don't think birth order has an impact on the size of the baby.

Joshua was 8lbs 3.2oz. Gabriel was 8lbs even. #3 has been measuring a week ahead of his due date.
K was 6 lb 4 oz at 40w. C was 7 lb 4 oz at 38w2d. He measured ahead for quite a bit of the pregnancy. A is measuring about a week behind consistently so I am thinking she will be closer to K's size than C's.
Tru was 8 lbs 11oz, Mathis was 8 lbs 3 oz. Tru was also 10 days late and Mathis was 10 days early. Had either been born on their due date, they may have weighed exactly the same.
Yes, historically 2nd children are bigger but I also heard they generally come earlier, so it sort of evens out.

A was 7lbs10oz at 36.5 weeks. J was 8lbs14oz at 38w.
My sisters and I all weighed the exact same.

#2 weighed 8oz more (8lb9oz vs #1's 8lb1oz), but considering that he gestated for 17 days longer than she did, that's not much more. Plus I had GD the 2nd time but not the first, and that usually means a bigger baby.
My first was 7lbs 14oz born at 37 weeks, and second was 8lbs 12oz born at 39 weeks. This one according to the ultrasound tech was 13 oz at 20 weeks, so a little bit ahead weight wise but he is right on track in bone growth. My older brother was over due and almost 10lbs, I was 7lbs because of my mom's gall bladder issues, and my younger brother was almost 9lbs.
dd1 was 6lb, 4oz and dd2 was 7lb, 8oz.
i was really surprised at dd2's weight! my dr. was thinking 7lbs.

#2 was bigger. There are reasons beyond anything to do with being 2nd.
He gestated longer and had a normal level of amniotic fluid.
Personally, I think #1 would have been about the same size if he'd been born a couple of weeks later like his brother. No way to prove that, but it seems about right. There wasn't a huge difference all things considered.
#2 is slightly bigger but born later.
#1 36 weeks exactly and was 6lb 1 oz. #2 was 36 w 5 d and was 6lb 14oz.
Both would have been over 8lb baby if I went to my due date. At 9 months, Ally is bigger than Emmy was.
DS - 7.3 at 37 wks; DD - 7.10 at 40 wks
My friend has a 10.13 son at 40 wks then a 8.5 son at 40 wks.

#1 was 6 lbs. 6 oz. (at 37 wks)
#2 was 8 lbs. even (at 38 wks)
Even today, Sam is still a little guy and Hannah is pretty average-sized. They are 21 months apart and weigh the same.
