If you have decided on an AIO sized diaper, how do you decide how many to get in each size? Do you just by the ones LO fits in now and worry about the others later?
I have some AIOs but that is not all I have in my stash.
But, even though you will get some overlap in sizing (like my son fits into both S and M right now), there will be times that your LO will fit into only one size. So, based on how many diapers your LO goes through a day and how many times you want to wash, there is your number.
My son goes through 7-8 diapers a day because he can sleep in one overnight now, so to wash every other day, I would need probably 20 (so I have some extra while those are washing and drying)
I have a small BG that I Iike because it's easy to use and less bulky than the others, but I think it's a little snug on DS.
So I was just going to go with Mediums, but didn't want to invest in a bunch of those and have him grow out of them quickly. Are medium cloth diapers like say size 2 disposables, meaning they are in them for quite awhile?
I would think they are probably in Mediums for a while, but it really depends on the child's growth rate, length, weight, etc etc.
But AIOs are the most expensive, and buying sized diapers is more expensive than OS options.
Certainly you could do less than that and be fine. You could even do laundry every day. But that would not work for me and my lifestyle, so that is why I would say 20.
ANd I love the way the sized BG AIOs fit. I have several in my stash, but I just cannot justify the price of doing all of those, so I have a lot of OS diapers.

So 20 of each size? Yikes that's going to add up.

Our stash is mostly sized but I also have some OS mixed in. DS is in smalls right now. I've got 20 sized and 7 OS. I do laundry every other day.
