Trouble TTC

I do not think I have ovulated on clomid

Before taking clomid I was charting, and noticing that I may ovulate on day 12-13. My doctor said now that I am older I may not be releasing strong or good eggs, so she though I should try clomid. I am on my first round, so sad and discouraged. I am on day Day 15 with no signs of ovulation. My temps are all over. I pee on a fertilty monitor everyday. And it has said I am high since day 6 of the cylce. And the OPK stick did say that it recognized my surged, but then the next day it did not recognize in surge. My last clomid was on day 7. Please tell me any suggestions, I am just so sad. I go to the doctor on Monday. So sad about this. I wish I never started clomid.

Re: I do not think I have ovulated on clomid

  • Are you using the CBEFM?  I have put mine away while on Clomid as I heard it doesn't work well with the meds.  Maybe you are just going to ovulate later on. From what I have noticed some of the symptoms of Ovulation while on Clomid are a little different, so maybe you just aren't recognizing them.  Do you have b/w coming up on CD 21.

I am sorry you are feeling discouraged, we are on our second cycle of Clomid now and I was so disappointed when it didn't work the first round.

Good Luck & I hope your day turns around :o

  • The earliest I would have ovulated on clomid was on the 19th day of my clomid cycle, and that's only if I had a 14-day LP. To my surprise, my results were that I did in fact ovulate with Clomid. Don't get discouraged yet, you could just be ovulating late. If it turns out that you didn't ovulate this cycle, then they may just have to adjust your dosage. Is this your first Clomid cycle? It's not uncommon if you don't ovulate first cycle, as they would need to figure that out.
  • Are you doing clomid through an RE or your OB?  You really should be doing it under the supervison of an RE so you can be monitored.  My sister was not monitored and she was totally missing her O day.  Her ob even thought she wasn't ovulating because she was checking her progesterone on cd21, when my sister later discovered she ovulates much later in her cycle.  She got pregnant on her own after charting last month.  Sometimes the only way to know you are ovulating is by doing an ultrasound.  Plus, they should be checking to see if your follicles are good sizes and you aren't developing cysts.  GL to you.

  • I took Clomid for three months and ovulated very late each time (CD 27-30).  We had given up hope and hadn't had sex the first month in several days.  Don't give up,  you may just ovulate later than usual!  Fingers crossed for you!

  • I'm lurking over from TTGP. I know exactly how you feel. This is my first Clomid cycle and I'm not sure if I'll respond. I have b/w coming up on Monday and I'm still charting, so we'll see. Much luck to you!

  • I ovulated way late on clomid like day 24 AND I normally do on day 18 or 19.  I just went off of it, all it did was make my cycles way to long I was on it for 3 rounds, and each time they got longer.  GL very frustrating and diddappointing I know, hang in there, they will find something that works for us all. fingers crossedXX
