I have the Chicco Keyfit 30 and I just read the owner's manual, which indicates not to use it past 11 lbs. DD is 12 lbs and it seems to early to remove it as her head may bounce around.
Have you removed yours yet? What does your manual say? Also, the infant insert is the head portion alone right, not the one for under the legs?
Re: When to stop using newborn insert for carseat?
We are going to leave ours in for a while longer. We're probably on the border of being able to take it out but DS sleeps the minute the car stars driving down the road and he uses it as a pillow. He doesn't seem to take up the rest of the seat yet.
DS is almost 14lbs.
I don't know what the manual said, so Liam probably wasn't over the weight limit, but it was starting to piss him off.
Same here.
