warning - some people may not want to read.

So I am here at my office in Atlanta and my office manager comes out to the receptionist and says I called security so if they call back let me know. Apparently he was sitting at his desk and looked over at the building across from ours and saw some guy sitting on the edge with his legs dangling over the edge. Now the road is completely blocked off with like 4 fire trucks, tons of cops, the swat team just pulled up, and a helicopter flying over the building. So now we're all sitting here watching, which is terrible, but you can't look away. Everyone in the surrounding buildings you can see looking out the windows as well. Put your thoughts in that this guy doesnt jump!

Well they got him! They just walked him out, cuffed, and put him in a cop car. He had his shirt pulled up over his face so no one could see him. All the newscasters were filming. But hey - he didn't jump!!

In January a guy took his life by jumpping off the 11th floor balcany. He landed on the cafe roof so everyone who was in the gym that morning got to see all of it. Not a fun way to start off the morning or the new year. Needless to say I was happy that I had a doctors appoinment that day and wasn't at work when it happend.

I hope that the guy doesn't jump.

I have compassion for anyone in so much despair that they would even contemplate suicide. But threatening to jump off of a roof in an area where you know a lot of people will see and call the authorities to stop you is just a giant as$hole move. You don't really want to jump, you just want attention. In the mean time you frightened a bunch of people and used up thousands of dollars of city resources to talk your sorry a$s down. Sorry you had to witness that.
