So, I haven't even had time to update my siggy, but I wanted to share our good news on this board in case there are other women here with 2-vessel cord babies/ pregnancies. I'm so happy to share the news that my 2-vessel cord baby was born healthy and happy on 10/5/10. June Linnea was born at 41w 2d and weighed in at a whopping 9lbs 1/2oz. We found out she had a 2-vessel cord around 16 weeks and I, of course, freaked out about it. We did a fetal echocardiogram and I got a growth ultrasound every month. June was born vaginally and I couldn't be happier with her. Just wanted to put my story out there for other women with a similar diagnosis. My OBs kept telling me that the 2-vessel cord really is more common than we think and that more often than not it is just something to keep an eye on and rarely is it something to be worried about. So try not to worry. Enjoy all the extra ultrasounds and feel free to PM if you have more 2-vessel cord questions. (Sorry for the bad formatting... I can't do paragraphs on my phone.)

Re: Positive 2-vessel cord story
We also are a positive story. My twins were born at 36w4d, and my baby girl had a two vessel cord. She weighed slightly less than her brother, but both were over 5 lbs, which is great for twins. In addition, my mom looked at my hospital records and found out that I had a two vessel cord when I was born. I did have some IUGR and was a preemie, but I'm a full sized human today.
