does anyone use a maid service?

With both DH & I working full time & taking care of a 1yr old, housework has been on the backburner. I end up having to do pretty much everything on my days off & I HATE IT! I am considering getting a housekeeper to come in a 1-2 times a week. Just wondering if any of you use one & what is the average cost in this area?

    I am not in your area. My mom owns a service that is about to start coming in every 2 weeks to do my house. I know she charges on average 60-75 every 2 weeks for the area here.

    I used flylady.net It's not for everyone, but it works really well for me.

    FWIW, I work 12 hour shifts with a couple days off during the week. DH works a 9-5 and 1/2 days on Saturday. I've had to adjust the routines to fit my schedule. It took a few months to figure out what would work and what wouldn't, but once I got it set up, it runs smooth and the house stays clean.
