First years soothie bottles

I am currently registered for the Gerber Nuk bottles because I plan on breast feeding and bottle feeding and heard Nuk bottles help prevent nipple confusion.  I saw the soothie bottles and thought that they look way more natural. For those of you who use/used them what are your thoughts?

Re: First years soothie bottles

  • We like the Adiri bottles. They are the most natural looking bottles I've seen and LO really likes them. They take some getting used to because they open on the bottom instead of the top but I haven't had any problems with it. NOT made in China, which makes me happier.

I have seen the breastflow bottle but we haven't tried it. It is made in China.

Of the ones you mentioned, I'd go with the soothie, but it also is made in China.

  • We had Soothie because they were the same nipple as the paci from the hospital but DS blew air back into the bottle and was terribly gassy and we ended up with Dr. Brown's.

  • soothie bottles were a complete bust for me.  The milk would get trapped in the nipple and would waste. I have used tommee tippee from week 1 and haven't had nipple confusion.
