Potty Training

Does the 3 day potty training really work?

My son has regressed since his baby sister enter the world and I would like to try a different approach. I don't want to spend money on the materials if it does not work. Thoughts?

Re: Does the 3 day potty training really work?

  • It worked for us.  We did the 3-day method 3 months ago and by the end of the 3rd day, she was about 90% potty trained.  She only had a few accidents over the next two weeks.  Up until this last week, she had not had an accident in over 2 months (day and night time trained).  She's now regressed during the night this last week but that is unrelated.

  • I used this method a month after DD turned 2 and it worked like a charm! She only had a few accidents after the training and those were mostly due to not getting to the potty in time. The best thing to remember is to be consistant (no going back to diapers) and be positive that it will work. And the only "materials" I spent money on was underwear, which I got at the Dollar General for $3 for 6 pairs.
