Peg-Perego - Do you recommend?

I love the look of the Peg Perego infant carrier and stroller.  Wondering if this is a decent brand.  Not much information on the web about this brand.  Buy Buy Baby carries this product and it seems like it might be better quality than Graco, but not sure.  Any thoughts?

  • Peg Perego is a great brand that's been around for a long long time and has quality products (strollers, car seats, and high chairs). The strollers and car seats are rated "A" in the Baby Bargains book. I suggest reading reviewson Amazon or the Baby Bargains book and website for more info.

  • LOVE my Peg Perego Pliko P3 stroller!!
  • I have the Peg Perego Viaggio and love it! The only complaint I have is that it's a little more difficult to fasten than the Graco's.

  • The Pegs are great seats, but they are super heavy.  I mean heavier than the Graco or Chicco models.  So before you buy, carry it around the store a little bit!

  • We have the car seat and the Skate stroller.  I've been very happy with the quality of both of them.

Couldn't agree more.  I have the Pliko P3 Stroller and Primo Viaggio ICS.  LOVE them.  My Primo Viaggio I used with my DS (he'll be 5 next month) is considered expired based on the date of manfacturer and I've already purchased a newer model to replace it.  Can't imagine not using it for this little one.

    Happy Shopping!

  • Now, this was 6 years ago, but I personally hated my Peg stroller and car seat. The car seat made DD sweat all the time and she almost overheated one day when she was about a month old. The car seat and the stroller were very hard to use as a travel system. It was just not an easy fit at all. Oh and the canopy never came up or stayed up on the car seat.
  • I have the PP Skate, SIP carseat,  Pliko P3 Switch for travel (because the Skate will not fit through security check), and the Prima Pappa highchair and love them all!!  Prior to the P3 I had the Maclaren XLR and hated it!!  The only think I dont like is customer service when you call head office (needed a stroller bag for the P3 and couldnt find it anywhere- they were extremely rude!!)  I do however love the fact they are made in Italy instead of China where the standards and quality control is not IMO up to my standards.

A problem I have with the skate is that now that LO is almost 2 he likes standing on it, but make sure your LO's shoes are off before this because all the material is balling.  As well, between th eP3 and the Skate the skate is more bulky (takes up all the trunk space- we have a sports car) and have to place the bassinett in the back seat) whereas the P3 is an umbrella stroller.  The Skate is also a Cadillac compared to the P3 in terms of maneuvering- it is a smooth ride and you can use one hand to control it- not the P3.  The P3 cupholder sucks and the Skate one is much better (at least I can put my Starbucks cup in the cupholder of the Skate- the P3 can olny hold a thin bottle of water).  But of course luxury comes with a price- whichever one you decide you will  be happy- trust me- I am!!

Hope that helps!!   Please PM me if you have any other questions!
