Venting: Feel free to ignore me

My cycle is always 28 days. I went off the pill in Jan and it was still exactly 28 days. Never changing. I am now on day 32 with AF no where. I've tested 3 times all bfn. No logical reason for it to be late. Not stressed, no changes in medication or anything I can think of at all. I was sure that because I tested, AF would come but still nothing. I don't even feel like it's coming. None of my normal crampy bloat or anything. Today, I'm starting to get frustrated which I know isn't helping matters. I just wish I knew what was going on with my body. I am pretty emotional and have been crying at the drop of a hat over little stuff. This is the only indicator that AF is anywhere to come.

I just want to know, ya know? BFN's so come on AF so we can start again.

Re: Venting: Feel free to ignore me

  • Ugh... I feel your pain!! After our loss it took me 3 months and 44 days worth of medication to get AF to come and I was an emotional mess because of it! Hopefully she rears her ugly head soon so you can start trying again.

  • Argh, that is annoying. I went off BC about 4 months before my wedding in 2008 and I started charting so I could get an idea of how my body worked without the extra hormones.  I was always a 28 day person and I did have a random 30+ day cycle before my wedding.  I knew I wasn't PG b/c we were being careful but it was puzzling.  I did go back to the 28 day norm and then got PG on my wedding night...which I knew was a possibility because of all the charting I had been doing.

I thought I would share a story with a good ending :0)  I can only imagine the frustration if I would have been if I were TTC on my long weirdo cycle.  I would have been super annoyed.

Good luck - I hope you end up with a surprise BFP this month or a well planned one next month!!!

Thanks hun. I hope I find out soon one way or another. I've even resigned myself that this is not our month but I just want to get things going again and stop with the waiting. I have no patience.

Thanks for the well wishes. It is puzzling. Thats a good description. I can't believe you got PG on your wedding night. That's really cool! Your baby with those pumpkins melted my confused heart. Adorable!

  • I feel your pain - I went off the pill in March and had a normal 30 day cycle (normal for me) then I proceeded to have 50 and 60 day cycles since then. You can imagine how many tests got taken after no AF for 60 days! We're not actively TTC so DH thought I was crazy, but things happen and like you said, I just wanted to know. My charts told me nothing. But this time, finally had a normal cycle - back to about 34 days. After being on the pill for so long it can take awhile to regulate. Good luck with TTC - hope you get your BFP soon.

I could almost understand if it were the first or second month off the pill. I was on it for 10 years. But 9 months of still 28 day cycles and then this. It's really random. I made a call to the sweetie nurse at my ob's office and she's going to call me in the morning. I just wanted her advice and she is always super helpful and knows us pretty well so I don't feel too silly.

  • I have no advice for you because my cycles can range anywhere from 28 days to 60+ days (PCOS).  I just wanted to say I hope you get your answer soon one way or the other!
