New to The Bump

New to the bump and really excited to be trying!

Hello all!! I am 22 and Married. My husband is 24. We are within weeks of closing on our first home and couldnt be happier. We have been married since 2-20-2010. we have been trying 5 months with no luck. I had went to my pcp (primary care physician) to talk about the chances of infertility. He had taken blood test to check hormone levels, thryroid and all that. everything came back normal. he decided to start me on metformin,..its for diabetes but it helps regulate your period and increases ovulation. I  started taking this medicine the day i was ovulating. My last period started on aug 30 2010...my cycle is 28 days. so that made me due to start again on sept 26 2010....i still havent started but have taken several hpt which all say negative. the doctor even took a urine test for me that said negative. i havent given up hope that one could turn positive tho. I have had many signs and symptoms of pregnancies but im tryign no to think to hard about it as i dont want to make myself believe i am until i know for sure bc i dont want to get my hopes up.  any suggestions or tips i would love to hear

  • Oh sweet jesus.  You're 22, been trying for 5 months and therefore infertile?

    Are you charting?

Even with perfect timing you only have a 20% chance to get pregnant each month.

It takes an average of 6 months to a year to get pregnant.

I'd stop the metformin and go back to trying sans the drugs.

Why take the drugs if you don't have to?  This makes no sense.

Fuuck TTC - I'm moving on.
