I'm sure everyone is different based on age, diagnosis, past history, etc... but I was curious to see where my protocol falls in the big scheme of things. They have me on only 5 units of Lupron once a day and when I start stimming I'll be doing 75IU of Menopur and 225IU of Follistim. Our diagnosis is all MFI and this is our first IVF.
If you're doing or have done a long lupron protocol...
What dosages/frequency did you take Lupron?
Follistim or Gonal-f?
Menopur?
Anything else you want to add?
Re: Long Lupron Dosage Poll
I did 10 units of Lupron (1x/day) until I started stimming, and then I dropped to 5 units (1x/day). I stayed on it until I triggered.
I was on 225IU Follistim until my first follie check - I think just 3 or 4 days (not my baseline check) and then was upped to 450IU for 7 days.
That was it! I ended up with 15 eggs, 8 were mature. I was 31/32 at the time (yea for birthday's in the middle of IVF cycles!), and my diagnosis is endo.
Started TTC 05.08
Me: Stage II endo, borderline high FSH
DH: perfect
1 lap, 5 IUIs = 4 BFNs and 1 c/p
2 IVFs, 2 FETs = 1 BFN, 1 c/p, 1 ectopic and finally a sticky BFP in May 2011!
1 FET in Aug 2013 = BFP!
What dosages/frequency did you take Lupron? I started Lupron at 10 iu once a day. After 5 days at that dosage, it was dropped to 5 iu (which was continued until trigger). I did Lupron in the morning. I started stims 7 days later.
Follistim or Gonal-f? I did 300 iu of Follistim or Gonal-F (I used a little of each because I was given some Follistim). I did one injection in the evening.
Menopur? I only did Menopur on 2 days (the 5th day and 7th day of stims). On those days, I did one vial and my Follistim/Gonal-F was dropped to 225 iu. Menopure was done in the evening.
Anything else you want to add? I also did HGH, aspirin, dexamethason, extra FA and Vitamin B complex and intralipids. I stimmed for 7 days, coasted a day and then triggered. I started Lovenox after ER. I am a poor responder (DOR) and only had 4 eggs retrieved. Most of my follicles did not respond to stims.
~SAIF/PAIF/Everyone Welcome~
Me= 37 and DH = 41
Dx: DOR, Endo, APA+ (really high beta 2 glycoprotein antibody and high everything else tested), heterozygous MTHFR mutation, positive for lupus anticoagulant, high FSH, low AMH and both tubes blocked (per HSG on 3/8/11)
IVF #1 - long lupron (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 4 retrieved, 3 fertilized; ET 2 blasts and 1 frozen = BFN
IVF #2 - a version of antagonist with EPP (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 6 retrieved, 4 mature, 3 fertilized, 2 blasts and 1 frozen blast transferred on day 5 = BFN.
IVF #3 April was postponed to May, May was canceled. June/July was canceled. Had a cyst aspiration and then began IVF #3 in August. ER on 8/22; ET on 8/24 with AH. +HPT on 9/5. Beta #1 (11dpo) = 3; Beta #2 (15dpo) = 29; Beta #3 (17dpo) = 60; Beta #4 (19 dpo) = 118. Heartbeat at 6 weeks 6 days =132. Lil is here!
TTC#2: Trigger + TI = BFN; Clomid + Trigger + IUI = BFN.
IVF #4: BCP + MDLF + Lovenox = 7R, 1F = Transferred 1 6-cell embryo on day 3 = BFN
IVF #5: MDLF + Lovenox = 4R, 1F = Transferred 1 10-cell compacting embryo on day 3 = BFN
IVF #6: (New RE): Long Antagonist November 2014 (transferred two 8 cell grade 1 embryos and froze one blast) = BFN
FET#1: BFN
What dosages/frequency did you take Lupron? I took 10 units a day until starting stims and dropped down to 5 units per day
Follistim or Gonal-f? I started Gonal-f at 150 units per day but by the end, I was up to 450 units
Menopur? None.
Anything else you want to add? I am not the greatest IVF responder and probably was oversuppressed (I don't know if it was the BCP or the Lupron) but I only ended up with 5 eggs on the Long Lupron
Im MFI too.
I was on 10 of lupron, then dropped to 5 w stims. 4 days of 150 follistim w 2 menopur. Then I dropped WAY down.
112 follistim/1 menopur
75 follistim/1 menopur
NO follistim/ half meopur
back to 75 follistim/1 menopur
I responded well, without much drugs. Im ready to trigger today, w big follies wo my E2 getting really high. Prob why I feel so good. Since i responded so well, I have to be monitored daily (only downside LOL).
Me - DX Hashimoto's Disease, Hypothyroid, Rheumatoid Arthritis
DH - DX Azoospermia - Sertoli Cell Syndrome
DS-IUI #1-4 BFN IVF #1 - BFP! It's a boy!!!
I wasn't told I was on "long Lupron" but judging from what I learned here, I am.
What dosages/frequency did you take Lupron? I did 20 units starting on day 21 of my cycle. When I got AF, they did a baseline on day 2 and I started stims and continue with 20 units of Lupron every day.
Follistim or Gonal-f? 225 Gonal F morning and night.
Menopur? nope
Anything else you want to add? They never lowered my Lupron dose, not sure what that means. I am assuming I will trigger tonight or tomorrow night, so I may be doing the 20 units for the entire cycle.
What dosages/frequency did you take Lupron? 10 units for 10 days and lowered it to 5 units for the remainder
Follistim or Gonal-f? Gonal-f, started with 150 units, will do that once a day at night until check on Friday
Menopur? nope
Anything else you want to add? MFI, with all things checking out normal with me.
If you're doing or have done a long lupron protocol...
What dosages/frequency did you take Lupron? 10 iu prior to stims, drop to 5 iu on first day of stims
Follistim or Gonal-f? started at 150iu and then by the end was at 0. I responded really well.
Menopur? 75 units a day and then the last 2 days was half a vial and then 0. Again, I responded really well.
Unexplained/possible MFI.
Stimmed for 9 days
Anything else you want to add?
I have been doing 10 units of Lupron once daily.
I start stimming on Thursday with 225IU of Gonal-F and 75IU of menopur. I will be decreasing the Lupron to 5 units when I start the stims.
I have PCOS (mild case) and we have MFI.
Me: PCOS, Blood/Immune Issues DH: Low all 3
