Sorry in advance... ? for City Mini Double owners

I know I know the stroller posts drive me crazy too. I promise never again Embarrassed

So if you have the City Mini Double, how does it do on sidewalks and such? We live in a predominantly walking town, where we would be going up and down sidewalks all the time (we don't live downtown, but go down there quite often and that would be where the stroller would get the majority of its use)

Our original plan was to get the City Elite because of the larger tires, but I'm concerned about the folding size being so big as we don't have an SUV yet. No where around here sells Baby Jogger so we can't go try them out ourselves or the decision would be much easier!

So how big are the tires on the Mini and would you reccomend it? TIA!

  • I have the City Mini Double - the wheels are sturdy, but I wouldn't say large.

However, this stroller pushes like a dream and handles very well on the sidewalk.

I took my 2 year old on a neighborhood walk last night with my Chicco Trevi single stroller, and I wanted to throw that darn thing in the trash by the time I got home.   It SUCKS compared to my City Mini in terms of how it handles bumps/curbs/turning, etc.

  • this is the one we chose.  I have not used it yet or anything, but several of my mom friends have it and love it.  And we are city moms so walk everywhere!

  • It's awesome on sidewalks and pretty good on grass too.

LOL...I just stuck my Chicco Trevi in the yard sale after I tested a City Mini single on vacation. I didn't choose the City Mini double for my double stroller, but the City Mini single is my new replacement for the Trevi. I hated that thing by the end. The City Mini is great!

  • We love our City Mini! It doesn't do great off-road on bumpy, uneven terrain but it's great on sidewalks and I do love the small size, easy fold, etc.
