2nd time c-section or VBAC?

for those of you who had a VBAC, or went into labor before your scheduled c-section.

When you had contractions, did your c-section scar hurt? I have had NO problems with it, and now that my contractions are coming and going, when i get a strong contraction, I feel like my scar is going to TEAR open.

Is that usual?

I had a VBAC with DD but I don't remember having pain at my incision point. I did have back labor though so I didn't feel any pain in the front of my belly until the end when I was transitioning and she finally turned the right direction. By that point I didn't feel like the pain was pinpointed at the scar, just pain overall

It's sensitive though in that spot so I think it would be normal to feel irritation or pain in that area more than another. If it feels like it's tearing open you may want to let your OB know just to be on the safe side.

My first 2 are 13 months apart and I went into labor 5 weeks early with #2 - my c/s scar did not hurt but man, labor did, just like the first time, LOL.

I had 3 weeks of strong contractions and labored for 20 hours during my VBAC attempt (ended in a c/s because the cir was wrapped) and my prior incision never hurt.
