150

That was my GTT results :(  My dr. goes by 130 as the cut off point.  3hr test here I come!!  I'm super bummed though because the fair is this week and I really wanted to spend 1 evening pigging out on great fair food :(

Re: 150

  • Can you pig out and have the test a few days later?

KIM this is coming from someone who hasn't had the 1 hr test and knows nothing about GD so this could totally be BAD advice. But I just LOVE food and that would be my rationale (good, bad, or indifferent).

  • Sorry you have to do the 3hr, but you don't have GD yet, so go ahead and indulge a little at the fair before you find out for sure.  So many of us have failed the 1 hour and passed the 3 hour.  I'm sure you're fine.
I give up trying to get a ticker.  I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome.  Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself.  Hmmm.  How about...

  • would it be wrong of me to tell you to go ahead and pig out LOL

A lot of people fail the 1 hour and pass the 3 hour so you could be totally fine.  I failed it with my 5 year old and passed the 3 hour and just passed the 1 hour with this pregnancy (I have to repeat it in a few weeks though because my midwife did it early and thinks I do have some kind of insulin resistance)

  • You ladies who failed the first test and passed the second test, do you mind me asking your numbers?
