Is PTL a newly approved FB abbreviation?

DH's crazy bible humping aunt has recently started saying things like "what a beautiful day, PTL" (PTL meaning Praise the Lord of course!)  And I'm wondering WTH.  That is all.

There used to be a show on years back on a Christian channel and the show was called PTL or Praise the Lord. I'm a Christian, but that show was kooky.
