So I have to break down and buy a coat for this winter - I wanted one to get me through the entire season because who knows if I'll need it again for #2. I wanted one that was dressy so I could wear it over dressy options for parties and things and then one that would just keep me warm.
I found this one
at Old Navy but I'm not sure if it'll be warm enough to get me through
March. But with those prices I thought I would also buy this one for just being outside and staying warm.
Thoughts?
Re: Maternity Jacket Question
I bought one similar to your first option when I was pregnant with my DD. I wasn't outside for long periods of time so I never got too cold (I was due in April last time). It was big enough that I could wear a sweater and a fleece underneath it too. I'll use the same coat this time around. It was actually non-maternity. I found with many of the pea costs I tried on, if they were double breasted or had a "cape" kinda feel to them, they were very roomy in the belly area.
Good luck. I like both options.
I like the first one. I think it will keep you plenty warm as will your extra insulation (aka baby) and hormones. Not to mention it looks like it has much more room for growth than the other. It can be dressed up or down too. I think it would work for the whole time and for everything you need without having to get the second one.
FYI I got a very nice coat at motherhood maternity a couple weeks ago. Regularly $80, i got it for $30. Its great!
