Have you ever had to travel in the middle of a cycle?

So, DH and I are going to NYC/Jersey for 10 days at the end of Nov, and to San Francisco for 7 days at the end of Dec. I'm concerned that unless I can go to an out of town place for monitoring (and possibly even the IUI itself) I'll be out those months.

 Have you ever traveled and gone to another clinic for monitoring and/or the IUI itself? If so, how did it work?

I haven't. But I would talk to your RE's office and try to see if something can be coordinated.

I've travelled during a few of my cycles, both before and after IUI/IVF procedure.  Talk to your provider - I stayed on my BCP for a few more days, and then started follistim during my vacation, and it was timed so I had my u/s when I got back, and when I travelled after my IVF cycles, I just brought my PIO with me. 

I always got a letter to fly with my needles/meds, and they only time I needed it was when I went to Spain - no one ever asked me for it when I flew stateside or to Costa Rica.  I was set up to go to a hospital lab during one trip to Atlanta for a beta, but actually the timing of the IVF fell that I would need it when I got back.

I have to skip a conference at the end of the month because I will be stimming at that time and my only option they gave me when i brought this up was to push it back to the next month.  But maybe you will get lucky with your office.  No harm in asking.

I havent gone to another clinic. My Dr's office told us to wait until the n ext month. The first DH would be out of town when his sample would be needed and in July and Sept we were out of town for the CD3 b/w and u/s. so we had "free" months.

Thank you! I talked to my RE, and he was on board with it. Now, I just gotta find an RE that accepts Aetna insurance and I'll be set!!!

I have done this multiple times. I have had monitoring done at other clinics and even had an IUI done at another clinic. It's possible if they will work with you, in my experience the hardest part is getting the insurance to coordinate. Let me know if you have any questions about my experience.
