Update (u/s)

Hi ladies,

I had my u/s this morning and am measuring 6w2d which is a measurement of 5 days less than expected. Since we haven't had sex since 9/6, I figured I would be 7 weeks today. Either those sperm have a super vag life or I've got a slow grower.

We did see the heartbeat (115bpm) though. 

Even though I know it is a good sign that we did see the h/b, I can't help but be a little anxious (someone smack me please!).

Needless to say, EDD is June 4 so I guess I am leaving you guys

No need to be sad.  We will make the journey together through the trimesters!  I know it is hard but try not to worry too much.

Stay positive! Your little bean is there and growing with a heartbeat! And I don't think you need to leave either! Your EDD is just a date, and the baby could come 2 weeks early or 2 weeks late. You are still welcome here.

Congrats on the heartbeat though, what great news!  Sperm can live a nice long time, I bet this turns out just fine!

Congrats on seeing the heartbeat.  I am in the same boat as you.  I thought I'd be seven weeks today but at last ultrasound I was measuring 3 days behind.  I am staying on the May board and will probably intro ont he June board soon.

OR he/she was curled a bit and they didn't get the best measurement! All of our early u/s measured us behind by at least 3 days, one almost a week.

For between 6-7w the heart rate is great! According to American Pregnancy normal heart rate at that gestation is 90-110 so 115 is awesome!

It's so hard not be anxious but its awesome you got to see your little nugget!

Sounds like you had a great appointment!  Don't leave us just yet.  You never know what the next appointment will bring.  You are on the border but all of us who are due in late May could actually deliver in June.  Hang tight and celebrate the baby you saw today!

No leaving...your one of us now!  Glad you had a good u/s!!  And now that you have heard the heartbeat your chances of m/c go down to 8%! AWESOME!!

Yay for a happy heartbeat!! I understand the worry, but try not to let it get to you, mama!

And I agree with Iris, go ahead and straddle the May/June boards. :-)

Don't worry. I measured a few days behind, too. I think 4. My heart rate was at 100. 115 is awesome! Don't stress yourself.

Spermies can apparently live a mighty long time- they made it 6 days to make this LO.  You hear a good heartbeat, so try not to worry!

Kerr, at my 7w5d ultrasound, baby was measuring 7w0d. My doctor said it is not uncommon for the baby to measure off by 5 days give or take.

When I went in for an ultrasound at 11w6d, baby was measuring ahead at 12w4d!

Since I measured a little behind at the 1st u/s and a little ahead at the 2nd u/s, the doctor has given me my EDD based on my LMP, which works out fine since I know I ovulated on CD14.

If you like the May board, I would stay put. I mean, if they'll have you, which I bet they will.

Im glad you got to hear a heartbeat! And like Iris said, practice some straddling woman.
