Prefolds

So DD has outgrown her GMD yellow edge.  I want to get like 6 or so in a bigger size.  I don't use them often, just when every thing else is dirty, or I just feel like it for one reason or another.  I am using them now with a liner with diaper rash cream. (Would rather ruin a $2 prefold than a $20 pocket!).  I know GMDs are the best, but are there any others that are good? I am hoping to pick some up used.  I don't want to spend a ton of money on them since we rarely use them.

I've heard Diaper rite prefolds are very comparable (possibly made by the same company), and they are available at www.diaperjunction.com I think they may have a 20% off deal on them right now as well. So if you ordered 6 medium sized it would cost $10.80. HTH

I used Little Lions for a while and liked those. But I do prefer GMD.  I got mine off Diaperswappers for $1.50 each.  DD has been in the red edge since she was four months old.  I'm pretty sure we've gotten our money's worth LOL.

Do you trifold the PF?  E has long since outgrown her orange GMDs but they still work well when I trifold them in a Thirsties cover.  Or stuff them in pockets when my inserts haven't dried.

GMD has a seconds sale on their organic prefolds...the reds are $20/dozen.

I like the unbleached from Cottonbabies as a second to GMD. I LOVE gmd but they are SO expensive. Cottonbabies also has free shipping- HUGE plus!

Oh thanks! I just ordered some and another snappi. I never got into the prefold love, but I will give it another shot. I love my fleece covers I made, so maybe that will motivate me! And save some wear and tear on my pockets.
