quick! help me decide

im jumping on the deal for the graco snugride 35. i'm wondering if i should buy two, since an extra base is $51 anyway... so this would be an extra $10 (after shipping) and i'd get a 2nd bucket seat to keep in DH's car.... thoughts?

Only $10 more to get the entire extra seat with the base? That's an amazing bargain and having 2 seats would be extremely convenient.

well its $58 (+$5 shipping) per seat/base.

So if i buy just one seat and then get an extra base, the extra base is $53

so for one seat + 2 bases, its $115, for an extra $10 i would get a 2nd seat.  (so it would be $125)

it is, but i absolutely HATE walmart and its out of the way, its always crowded and i can never find a spot close enough. i'll pay the $10 and have it shipped to the house. i know it  sounds silly but its just not worth the hassle

so should i get two at this price?

This is hilarious!  I am debating the same thing.  My husband thinks it sounds crazy....but it's not!

as baby gets bigger you are more likely to just want to take him out of the seat and leave the seat in the car (like you would with a convertible). this way you don't have to lug the whole seat inside if you dont want to.

the only thing is a good friend of mine who has 3 kids says you really don't need two bases anyway, but i disagree.

I would jump on it!

We are getting two car seats for my car and DH's car because we work such different schedules and literally an hour from each other. So if one of us was caught without a seat and the other one had it, we would be in some trouble to get LO.

I would disagree with your friend too. Most people install car seats incorrectly and whether she means moving the base from car to car or using a car seat without the base (option on most but even harder to get the positioning right), it's a bad idea! My sister was being cheap and moving her base from car to car, she reached the destination (baby had been crying the whole way) and the seat was on a vertical incline.

Having extra bases was great when DD was little. Don't listen to your friend! Everybody in my family {mom, aunts, MIL} had extra bases for our car seat in their car. It was so easy.
