I think this might be my request for a Christmas gift. I like the one we have now but it is from DH's college days and has a pretty good tear in the cushion and now stuffing is falling out of it.
I always LOVED the Dutalier (sp?) ones but they are expensive...some around $700, which I couldn't justify on a glider. With DD, we got a Shermag for about $300, it is nice, does the job. But I just bought a Dutalier one on onewayfurniture.com...it is $299 and then an extra $25 off ($274 with free shipping and no tax). I have a clicky link a few posts down

We bought a Shermag at BRU, used a 20% off coupon on it. Love it. It was the only one in the store that was under $400 AND comfortable AND large enough for both me and DH (who is 6'4" and 260 pounds.) I think it retailed for around $330.
I bought mine at Wal-Mart for $140 including the stool. It is comfy and neutral. The wood is dark and the pad is sand color. We have a small nursery and I splurged on the crib and dresser. DS spits up a lot and the chair is micro fiber covered and it wipes off with a wet towel and leaves no marks.
DH is 6 foot and almost 200lbs and he fits.

I have the PBK Lullaby Rocker and I do not recommend it. I really wish I had gone with a rocker/glider combo and had gotten a foot stool. But after spending $800 on the rocker for my first born, I can't bring myself to invest in another one.
we're getting an upholstered glider/rocker arm chair with a gliding ottoman in a neutral fabric that we can move to another room in the house when we're done with it in the nursery.
We're getting one by Best Chairs, and the model is Quinn. It's pricey - but thankfully my MIL is gifting it, and we'll get a lot of use from it, even after baby.

The Luca glider by Monte. I liked the look of it and there was only one store in my city that had them so I went to try it out and couldn't stop thinking about it. It is pricey, but is custom made and eco friendly. It also doesn't look like a glider so it could easily fit into decor later. There are also websites that give you no tax and free shipping though you still have to pay for the freight charge, as it will be oversized. Good luck!
