I see nothing wrong with EZ. I also have a Z LN and there are lots of EZ's in my family. I don't think anyone has ever had a problem with it.
Really...considering when you say it out loud it sounds like "easy"
I just couldn't imagine being a teenage girl with those initials...
Really- its not that big of a deal. I know several people with those initials and they don't get any grief. Plus if you add a middle initial in there it wont really be EZ it will be EXZ

Well good to know! I'm an L&D nurse and the RNs I work with seemed to think it was a big deal and an awful thing to do to a girl.
Either way I think we've decided that we like Molly as a FN.

Really. I promise. I think it's great that you're looking out for your little girl, but if there's a name that starts with E that you love, I would go for it!
Our DS's initials are EZ, but I'm actually with you and we wouldn't even consider a girl name with E and have her initials be EZ. Maybe she'd be lucky and not get called "easy", but I feel like it's a pretty obvious way to tease a teenage girl. I wouldn't worry about middle initials though in that case b/c you rarely use a middle name.
DS born via c/s 11/08 and med-free GD VBAC DD 3/11!
I think _EZ would be fine, with pretty much any initial other than M for the first initial, but with MEZ, if you say it out loud it sounds like "I'm easy" LOL. Now that I think about it, there are quite a few similar initial groups.
I don't think they would get picked on for the initials EZ, unless that was the case. The only thing that I can see is that their nickname could be EZ, which I have heard before.

Just a thought.
