Hey all, I guess I'll officially be in 2nd tri next week but I'm popping over to find out when you all started using pregnancy pillows. Obv. I don't have much of a bump yet and I'm actually sleeping pretty well in general, but I'm starting to have trouble lying on one side or the other all night without my hip on that side going numb. I wondered if a pregnancy pillow would help that.
I also periodically have back pain and I know more support would improve it. I just feel sort of silly thinking of getting something so early that seems to be geared toward people further along.
Thanks!
Re: When did you start using a pregnancy pillow?
A possibility was born the day you were born and will live as long as you live.
biggest waste of money ever IMO.
This. I have been snuggling up with a body pillow, it does the same thing.
I always sleep on my side with a pillow between my legs but I really started to need a good pregnancy pillow with a lot of support around 17 weeks. When my tummy started to pop out and I got the round ligament pain I would wake up just sore all over. It was a strange feeling and hard to describe.
There is no problem trying to plan ahead, within reason I would say. And btw- I wouldn't be in too much of a hurry to get to the point where you are a lot bigger because the discomfort increases the bigger you get!
I have been using the Snoogle pillow since 14 weeks.
I love it! It is super long a flexible so I can have one end between my knees and ankles, the long part either supporting my back or my front and the top bends around and is great as my pillow for under my head.
I highly recommend it!!
I'ma bout 15 weeks, and I just started using a snoogle. I found a brand spanking new one at a yard sale for 17 bucks, so I figured why not? Plus. my back has been super sore recently (I don't think it's baby related really, I've had issues in the past) and it alines my spine really nice.
Plus I figured it would be good to get used to it now as opposed to when I HAVE to use one.
I love it, so comfy.
