Another bedrest update..from 26 to 37 weeks (almost)

I started bedrest at 26 weeks due to a shortening cervix...I was hospitalized for two weeks at 28..and here we are, today at 35w 5 days! I have been on home rest since week 30 and made a couple of trips to L&D but so far so good. I never had the mag, and had one round  of steroid shots and two brethene shots. I have been on Procardia, and I can tell that it has helped the contrax.

So looks like they will set up my c section for 37 weeks unless something happens- but will not stop me at this point. That is 10 days from now...I'm curious as to when you all were taken off of the procardia?

To anyone new placed on br, it's hard but personally I think it helped. I did end up going on Zoloft- but that too has helped me. I wish I would have thought more positively in the beginning- but it's so difficult when  your doctors are scaring the crap out of you with talk of pre term labor. I wish anyone luck if you find yourself in this position

Good for you!!  I'm tailing behind you just a little bit.  The bedrest is hard because I still had so much stuff I wanted to do.  But you're right, it's helping.  My BP is down, and so is my protein levels.  Hope you make it to 37... you've come so far!

YAY for you!!! Your story gives me hope since I was just put on bedrest at 25 w.

Congrats for making it this far!  I've been lucky and haven't been put on bedrest, but I give those of you who have a lot of credit, because I cannot imagine how hard it must be!
