Mini pill question

This might be TMI but I have been on the mini pill for almost 4 weeks now.  I can count on one hand how many days that I have not had bleeding.  The first week it was a flow blown period and since then it was been lighter but still heavy enough to need a pad.  It stopped yesterday only to start up again tonight.  Has anyone else experienced this?  I called the nurse last week and she told me to give it a few more weeks to see what happens.  It is beyond annoying!

By the way, hello again!  I haven't even had time to get on and read posts lately since I have gone back to work!

I didn't have exactly your experience, but very similar.  The week after I started it, I had very heavy bleeding that lasted 8-9 days.  It stopped for 2 days and then started again for another week or so.  I was having a "period" every other week.  It finally settled down and got back to normal after I was on it for about a month and a half.

I hate the mini-pill.  I took it for 9 months and I couldn't stand the mood swings, so I finished my last pack and quit.  I hope you have better luck!

I never had any bleeding on the minipill, but hated what it did to my emotions. Like a lot. So I quit taking it.

I never had any bleeding either.  Actually didn't get my period until DS was 10 1/2 months, after I stopped the mini pill and started weaning him. I didn't have any major emotional ups and downs either....well, my husband may say differently!  Hope it gets better for you!

Are you taking it at the same time every day?

Thanks everyone.  If it doesn't stop soon I will be going back to the doctor and will stop taking it.

Rachel- Yes I take it at the same time everyday!

Good luck! The only reason I asked is because my Dr. told me 15 minutes could make a difference in time.
