My thyroid update (adoption ticker inside)

My thyroid is still whacked out.  My RE referred me to a regular endocrinologist, who I've had a couple of phone consults with and had my official visit with today.

He is threatening to take it out, but also wants me to undergo some genetic testing for various endocrine-related cancers, which I agreed to (hopefully insurance will cover based on family history).  He sent me home with several more prescriptions and upped my thyroid hormone dosage.

I was encouraged that he was very sympathetic and said he wants to do everything possible to get me healthy and to help my RE get me pregnant (and get me to stay pregnant) ASAP.  There is no way to rush it and I know it's important to get my thyroid levels in range and manageable.  I just hate the waiting.
