It is actually quite popular in the UK for girls, I know 2 toddlers there named Holly. At first I felt like it was dated too but it has grown on me!

I really like Holly.  DH vetoed it.  While it is a bit dated, I do know an 11yo with that name.

That's what we are naming our DD, maybe it is dated, it peaked in the 70's, all the better for me, I have only ever met one Holly and I agree, she is very nice. My sister said it was boring (she named her daughter Rylee...) but I asked, have you ever met a Holly? Nope. Our Holly will be Holly Elizabeth Dawne (yea...with the e at the end...)
