GD test- not sure if I want to go into work and misc.

I have my GD test at 8 am this morning.  Well my manager put me on the schedule for 11 am this morning even though I ask for the AM off.  Even though I've talked to her about it and she says it's alright if I can't come in, I feel bad calling in.  People have talked about how sick they felt afterwards and how it affected their whole day.  *Sigh*  Guess we'll see how I feel, but I was looking forward to not having to worry about it and being able to lay up on the couch and do school work all day- then the schedule came out.  Blah.

On an up side, I scheduled maternity pics yesterday for when I am 33 weeks :D

On a different note- DH's side job's paycheck bounced....really??!!  Fortunately we called the guy and he said the money should be in the account now for when the bank tries to cash it a second time.  But, seriously, you couldn't give us a heads up that your grant money didn't come in on time and his PAYCHECK that we waited all month for would BOUNCE??!!!  I hate this guy, and DH wouldn't be working for him if we didn't need the money so bad.  He has some loose business practices.

  • Are you just taking the 1 hour test today?  I felt woozy during the 1 hour wait but was fine for the rest of the day.  Good Luck!

  • Yes, it's just the 1 hour.  I am really hoping I don't have to do the 3 hour!
  • when I did mine for my first I felt horrible, and went home and went to bed for the rest of the day.  But I could have been a bit of a weenie back then haha

I'm doing my 1hr at 7am on the 20th, and told my boss I'd come in after.  I feel too guilty not to, with all the work I've missed/will miss for doc's appts.  Let me know how it goes for you!

Bouncing paycheck?  Ridiculous!  i'm sorry you have to deal with that :(

  • I didn't feel good during the test but was fine the rest of the day. The 3 hr. test is another story.

  • You might be fine-I didn't feel bad at all with mine. The drink left a funny taste in my throat but I didn't feel nauseous or anything like that.

  • I wouldn't worry about the 1 hour.  Just make sure you eat some protein after the test and drink lots of water the rest of the day to flush the surge of sugar out faster.  Avoid carbs the rest of the day if you can.  The drink has about 5 candy bars worth of sugar so you don't need anymore today.  Hope you pass.  If you have to do the 3 hour, I would do it on a day where you can rest at home the rest of the day and avoid driving right after.  Make sure you bring someone with you.
I give up trying to get a ticker.  I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome.  Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself.  Hmmm.  How about...
