Nurseries and Baby Gear

recalls in general, sleep positioners specifically

Are stores required to stop selling recalled items?  I was browsing around at Walmart today when I noticed a giant shelf full of sleep positioners.  I guess I figured they had to pull them from the shelves or something...

  • I don't think they were officially recalled but I could be wrong?

  • it wasn't a recall per say.. but a safety brief. they strongly recommend you don't use the sleep positioners. just like they strongly recommend you don't use crib bumpers.

  • since it wasn't an official recall it is not required but I noticed prudent stores like BRU and Amazon have started pulling

  • I think it's like the Bundle Me. They weren't recalled, just considered unsafe. People can still buy them if they want or haven't done their research on the safety of products.
  • I was thinking the same thing when I was at Burlington Coat Factory and saw a stack of sleep positioners on display.
