Graco double strollers?

Does anyone have the Graco Quattro Tour Duo?  It looks really nice, it's definitely more expensive than the Glider.  I'm wondering if the carseat will snap in the back seat and allow my toddler to sit in the front seat.  Anyone have experience with either of these strollers?

Thanks!

Re: Graco double strollers?

  • I have this stroller and I was able to use both the front and back seats for the infant carrier. The front seat has to stay in the upright position in order for the back to accommodate the carrier. Also, it's harder to maneuver the stroller if the heaviest child is in the front.

I think the quality of this stroller is much nicer than the duo glider! I do however, have my list of con's if you are interested in those.

  • Crap - what are the cons?  I need a Graco double stroller because I already have the snug ride so it will snap into the Graco strollers.  I don't know what else to get - seems like it's between these two if I want to use the snug ride with it. Thanks for your input! :)
  • No need to be alarmed :)

I imagine the cons would be the same with any double. It's bulky, hard to maneuver, terrible turning radius, and heavy. I have the Graco Metrolite single stroller that I am glad I never got rid of. I have used it more than my double. I did use the double a lot when my 2nd son was born, My 2 are 20 months apart, so I needed a stroller for 2 for about a year. Now, I use the single for my 2 year old and my almost 4 year old prefers to walk. I often wonder if I should have just gotten a sit-n-stand, I know the baby trend model will accommodate a Graco carrier and it is less expensive, It also provides a seat rather than just a bench for your toddler.

Don't get me wrong, the quattro is no all that bad. It safe, sturdy and comfy and I think it's pretty stylish. It also has a lot of storage space. I get a lot of compliments on it.

If you lived in my area, I'd let you take mine for a test drive.

  • Awww thanks!  I also have the metrolite and love it.  I have a three yr old, so she still wants to ride in the stroller.  So I really need something that will accomodate both of them for a while.  What do you mean by the baby trend provides a seat rather than just a bench? Are you referring to the sit and stand or the quattro?  Looks like quattro has a full seat.  I'll stop in at BRU and take a test drive.  I just need a double that will handle the mall, parks, etc. Thanks again for your help!
  • My girlfriend has the baby trend sit-n-stand (I'm not sure which model... and it would be from 2 yrs ago as well); it has 2 seats allowing for one to be removed providing the stand option. I know some sit-n-stands have more of a bench for the toddler rather than a seat. Does that make sense? Her's worked with the snug ride, but from what a previous post discussed, newer models do not... not too sure....

The quattro has 2 regular seats. It's good for the mall and trips to the park. A little heavy for any kind of exercise and a it's hard to get through tight spaces in stores, around racks and moving around people.... just because it bulky and heavy with 2 kids.

It gets great reviews and for your needs, I imagine it would be perfect... Just keep your Metrolite for a back-up...I am so glad we did :)

  • Thanks!! I'm going for the quattro and will keep the metrolite as a back up.  Thanks for your help! :)
