French name suggestions, sil vous plait

DH is from Quebec and insists on a name that "works" in French.  I insist on a name that works in California! Here is our list... any other suggestions?

BOY: Henry, Louis, Leo, George, Luc, Ben

GIRL: Adele, Marguerite, Nina, Nadine, Madeleine, Sophie, Lola

(DS is Charles and we call him Charlie)

Merci : )

  • I LOVE Henry, Louis, Leo and George from your boys list, Leo being my favorite. That absolutely gets my vote.

I LOVE Adele, Sophia, and Lola from your girls list. Sophia's my hands-down favorite, but I would suggest Delphine for your consideration. Distinctively French but very easy to say, Delphine is both lovely and unique without being "out there."

  • I'm originally from Quebec (although I'm an anglophone but am fluent in French).

Patrick, Martin, Robert, Eric, Marc are commonly used by parents with mixed anglo/franco roots.

Emilie, Emma, Elise, Anne, Suzanne, Patricia, Marie, Isabelle, Catherine are all common names that work perfectly in both languages as well.

     Bonne chance!
