This was one of the "Hot Topics" on The View, this morning. ::fist pumping::
"The study, published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health, found mothers who drank one to two units of alcohol a week were slightly less likely to have children with social or emotional difficulties than those who did not drink during pregnancy.
Children born to light drinkers also scored higher on cognitive tests than the children of women who did not drink alcohol while pregnant."
No wonder my kid is so SMRT and well-adjusted!
Kristen - fess up, this is how Owen scored his Mensa spot, already, huh?
Cheers!

I was thinking Dickmann's or Nuck and Futz. Legends is far too klassy for me.

I knew you loved me. Now where's that Woodchuck Pumpkin Cider?!?
I'm IN!
I emailed the link to my husband. Here's his response:
Although there is a correlation, there is not enough evidence to support the theory that light drinking promotes intellectual and emotional development. More than likely, the women who did not drink are so up-tight about their children that it stresses their kids out. These enabling mothers do everything for their kids in an effort to prevent them from ever experiencing defeat. Therefore, when these kids take the tests they
1)stress out because they have to do it on their own, and/or
2) have experienced too much of a sheltered life at the hands of their
hyper-sensitive mothers to have any intellectual or emotional depth.
Also, I don't trust anything that comes out of England in relation to
health. Have you ever seen their teeth?
Classic!
Your husband is The Awesome.

No, no, not Nuck & Futz, you have to go a little further on 16 to get to Villa Fiesta - it's "biker friendly."
This is a solid point. I'll remind him that he's a tool-bag for making such sweeping generalizations.
Don't think it's going to stop me.
I did drink the occasional half glass of wine with Owen. This explains everything!
Knuk n Futz. I still chuckle every time I drive past there. Wingzzzz!!!
More than the turban-wearing turd in front of the Grocery Bag?
Yes! I love this. I was drinking an o'douls at a friends house once and they made a comment about how it's not safe because there is still a % of alcohol. It really pissed me off!
I think I will have a drink tonight
cheers
I hate when stupid people assert their opinions. I might've broken a [N/A] beer bottle over their heads.
You may or may not see an open bottle of red wine on our counter, next week.
