DH refuses to get ours groomed more than once every three months. it's because she looks really cute when her fur is longer. But I also feel bad for her because it gets to the point where her hair covers her eyes!
We give her a bath at home every 3-ish weeks.
How often do you groom/bathe your furbaby?

Re: Furbaby Grooming Poll
We never have to groom ours bc he has such short hair...just take him for nail clippings.
He gets a full bath every 1.5 months bc he has dry skin and the vet wants the oil to build up. We spot wash his face, bum, and feet more. To keep him from, being the "smelly kid at school"
Started TTC 05.08
Me: Stage II endo, borderline high FSH
DH: perfect
1 lap, 5 IUIs = 4 BFNs and 1 c/p
2 IVFs, 2 FETs = 1 BFN, 1 c/p, 1 ectopic and finally a sticky BFP in May 2011!
1 FET in Aug 2013 = BFP!
We have two Poms and everyone assumes they are super high maintenance and need to be groomed all the time--nope! We never have them professionally groomed. I just brush them really good (once every 1-2 weeks) and give them a bath when they need it. Their fur is super soft, fluffy and, well, pretty perfect. I give full credit to the food that they eat, though, for the health of their coats.
Our Pointer needs to be brushed (with the furminator) at least 2x a week because he sheds so much but we never have him groomed.
They do all get their nails clipped one or two times a month while at doggie daycare.
TI, IUIs, IVF = c/ps and BFNs
my furface gets groomed every 2 months at groomers and in between i give him a bath and if necessary trim his ears and hair in his face. i prefer him with longer fur though.
i brush him every so often when he needs it. he has the softest hair in the world

we give ours a bath about once a month and cut his nails every couple of weeks. he has short hair so he does not need to be trimmed. Used to take him to groomers for his nails until started trying to bite them, now I do it myself.

I try to go every 3 months with my dogs. My Giant Schnauzer (he is 95 pounds) full groom is $85+ and my Westie is $40+. But I can not shape them myself. I hate spending more on their hair than I do on my own!
We bath them at home every 2-3 weeks. I clean their eyes daily (I am a bit obsessed about that) and will trim the fur around their face. I will also clean their ears as needed.
All of ours are short haired now, so no more grooming. I only take them to get their nails cut. They get baths about once a month, but the english bulldog gets her face, ears, wrinkles cleaned atleast once a week (more often when it's warm out so her nose doesn't get infected).
We had a golden retriever that passed away 2-yrs ago. We use to get her groomed, but still did her baths at home. We would get her "trimmed" about every 3-months and then once in the spring we would get her hair cut really short (almost shaved, but not quite that short) because she got WAY too hot being outside.

Baths- a few times / year
Brush the fuzzy ones- few x's week- and in reality I could probably brush my pyr every single day. He loves it too.
Groom- my pyr-I just get his coat blown out and his toe hair trimmed- maybe few x/s year. 2-3x's
Nobody else gets trimmed- but the pup will need the hair betw/ her toes trimmed- she's already got that hair knotted. I shaved some of it today.
Nail trims- every 3 wks or so- try to keep them short.
ETA: the only reason I get my pyr groomed is b/c the groomer is a friend of mine. Otherwise, he really doesn't need to be groomed. And rarely needs a bath. Just a good brushing a few x's per week. Although when he blows his coat- I brush him forever outside and it looks like a stuffed animal got murdered.
