VERY long Femara cycle...follicle check update

This is one very long Femara cycle. I'm on CD18 today, and the follicle on my left is still there, growing ever so slowly (10x17mm, was 8x17mm on CD16), but it turns out this could work in our favor. There's no way we could do an IUI over the weekend (DH is a full time soccer coach and has a tournament 2 hours away from where he'd need to bring his sample). So, they did b/w today, I should know this afternoon but it sounds like IUI will be on Monday morning, Ovidrel shot would be Saturday night. Keep your fingers crossed that this is the case, because I have no clue how we'll work it out if it has to be on Sunday.

THanks!

  • That sounds like a fairly normal femara cycle for me. I don't normally ovulate until cd20, so I just adjust my 7dpo b/w accordingly.

  • Oh that is great to hear, that the Femara cycles run longer for others too - last cycle I had my IUI on CD19, so this is a little bit longer, which works out well not only for the IUI hopefully being on Monday, but for me being able to get another "if necessary" cycle in for November - I'm going away for a long weekend with my BFF (annual girls weekend), and I wasn't sure I'd be able to get another cycle in leading up to and after the trip. Whew!
